Music & AI Rights Workshop

Music & AI Rights Workshop

For More Information

Our workshops are not just about learning —they're about doing.

A hands on workshop to register your songs, sign up with music rights organizations, and protect your rights in the AI era.

At Sound Ethics, we're all about embracing AI in music while fiercely protecting artists' rights. Our workshop will equip you with the know-how to safeguard your work and capitalize on exciting new opportunities.

Key Highlights:

  • Interactive, Action-Oriented Sessions: Students will engage in activities like signing up to collect mechanical rights royalties, performing rights royalties (PROs), registering songs, securing your Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights, Content ID and direct licensing, tracking royalties, and exploring the intricacies of copyrighting their work.
  • Real-World Applications: We’ll dive into the practical steps for securing session work, ensuring your recordings are protected against unauthorized AI usage, and how to use new contract riders that safeguard their rights.
  • AI Tools for Artist Empowerment:  Students gain special access to licensing opportunities, new AI tools, our free “Mia” education app, and learn to leverage Web3 technology to support their careers.

How It Works

  • Zoom into Classrooms: We conduct the workshop live via Zoom, connecting directly with classrooms for a fully interactive experience. Students can participate together in their university setting, or join individually if they can’t attend in person.
  • Expert-Led Sessions: Each workshop features at least two instructors from Sound Ethics, offering live guidance and answering questions in real time. Whether you're in the classroom or attending remotely, our team is there to support you.
  • Personalized Help via Breakout Rooms: For tasks that require individual attention—such as signing up with performing rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI, etc.), registering your songs, or securing copyrights—we use breakout rooms to provide one-on-one assistance.

Why Attend?

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Gain the knowledge to navigate the rapidly changing landscape of music in the AI era.
  • Protect Your Work: Learn the steps to ensure rights and creative work are protected.
  • Maximize Your Opportunities: Discover how to capitalize on the new opportunities the AI age offer.
